GIFT CARD BINGO/Mount Pleasant Mills

Tickets are now available for the second annual Fremont Gift Card Bingo to be held May 18 at the Fremont Social Hall, 299 Mill Race Road. Doors open at 3 p.m. and Bingo begins at 5. Tickets are $25 each and include 20 regular games. Only 150 tickets will be sold. More than $2,000 in prizes including gift cards, cash and door prizes. FOOD BANK/Mount Pleasant Mills

The Mount Pleasant Mills United Methodist churches will host their Table of Grace Food Pantry at the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Route 35, on the third Saturday of each month from 3 to 4 p.m. There is no charge for items which include things such as canned goods, potatoes, cereal, eggs, and pasta. Kate’s Kupboard, located at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 300 Queen St., is open the third Saturday of every month from 9-11 a.m. You do not need to live in the Shikellamy School District to receive products. In addition to groceries, distributing household and personal care items. There is also a baby station. Use the entrance off the church parking lot for grocery/household/personal care items. The baby station entrance is on 3rd Street.

Hospice of Evangelical will hold its annual Remembrance Walk between 1-4 p.m. at the Shikellamy State Park, 401 Bridge Ave. (Packers Island). A Memorial Day weekend service to honor the life and sacrifice of Ceylon Miller and all veterans who died in service to this country held at 9:30 a.m. atMooresburg Presbyterian Church, 21 Church Road. KID OLYMPICS REGISTRATION DEADLINE/Lewisburg

The Lewisburg Children’s Museum will host its annual Kid Olympics from 2-4 p.m. June 9on the athletic field behind the LCM/GreenSpace Center at 815 Market St.Kids will participate in various physical activities (such as “javelin” throw, obstacle course, limbo, and 20-40 meter dash) to compete for the gold. The team from Stack’D Fit will lead all participants in warm-up activities and the event will be “bouncing” with the help of DJ Donnie Mapes. SB Cyclery will be on hand to do a bike helmet safety check and will raffle off several brand-new, kids-sized bicycles. Registration fee: $15/child. Each team will play six games. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of each bracket. Cost: $50 per two-member team and includes a meal. Food will be available to purchase for spectators. Tournament is being administered by Packer Island Cornhole, who will be building the brackets and ruling the game play for the day. Proceeds from the event will support the fire police and their efforts in the community in Charlie Jordan’s honor and memory.No outside alcohol permitted to be brought on-site.

GOLF TOURNAMENT RESERVATION DEADLINE/Lewisburg

Central Susquehanna Opportunities (CSO), will host their 2024 Golf Tournament on June 24, at the Bucknell Golf Club. The tournament will have teams with four players each, with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., rain or shine. Player registration is $100/person and includes coffee and donuts at registration, greens fee and cart, lunch at the Turn, on-course refreshments, and dinner. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams in three flights. There will be specialty prizes awarded for closest to the pins and longest drive. Door prizes will also be awarded.
