This was taken a month into the war.

Seth shared this Wheatfield High School newsletter called the Jeep Journal and named for the high school’s mascot. The school appears to have closed. According to this source, the high school became known as the “Jeeps” in the 1930s, preceding the introduction of the Jeep.

“Very good condition red bodywork/white wheels/black floor. Three speed and reverse gearbox. Not totally cosmetically restored but fully functional, garaged indoors and well maintained. “I just bought this at an auction last week without a title. It has been sitting a long time. Plate says 1971. Don’t know much about these old jeeps. Please try to figure out model/year etc. from firewall tag. I do not know. The engine seems seized. The floors are rotted & patched but frame & body mounts look very good. The plow set up is bolted on the frame & looks good too. The blade is rotted above cutting blade (but still useable). I have the rear tire chains too. I don’t want to part this out, but I will if it doesn’t sell soon. Just looking for something to plow around my lot. I do not want to have to rebuild the engine.”

Original, un-modified, un-changed from OEM configuration. Colorado Title.
L134 original motor, Split windshield. Rolling on a set of OEM Jeep 15 inch by 4.5 steel rims
No back seat.
Running and driving two years ago. Needs gone through.
Complete, less oil bath air filter.
History: This jeep was in one family for over 20 years. Five years ago Grandpa developed dementia. Two years ago he began taking things apart for no apparent reason. Unfortunately this was the case with the Jeep. Grandpa has passed and family moving. I bought the jeep and put it back together with what was there and what I could scrounge. This is a nice little jeep, a solid, good starter for father and son, father-daughter project. Motor turns freely and crystal clear oil came out of motor. Clean green coolant was in the radiator. This could be a terrific ranch or hunting jeep, or get it back on the road.

This publicationwas designed to teach thesales force and dealers about the new Jeepster Commando and Jeepster Convertible. Looks interesting.

“This is a vintage 1968 Jeepster Comparison Data Brochure, measuring approximately 5.75×8.5” and is 20 pages long. It is an original piece of literature from Kaiser Jeep not a reprint and is in very good to excellent condition. Dated April 1968. Carefully stored since new, minimal handling, center staples tight, clean with no smudges, tears or folds. “7-68″ written lightly in pencil on bottom left of back cover. Contents include b&w photos, competitive vehicle comparisons, exterior and interior comparisons, general appearance, engines, frames, electrical, suspension, drive line, body, safety features, etc. Models covered include the 1968 Jeepster Convertible and Commando.”
