It writes: "Justin Herbert’s rib injury limited his play in Week 3, and after dropping an unexpected loss to the Jags in part because of those limits, I feel hesitant about the Chargers covering the spread. Rookie running back Dameon Pierce also finally had a game to remember, albeit in a loss, as for the first time this season, he emerged as the clear leader of Houston’s ground attack, rushing 20 times for 80 yards and a touchdown versus the Bears. He also had two catches for 21 receiving yards. This could be a start of a productive trend for Pierce, who will be taking on the Chargers’ defense that just gave up 151 rushing yards on 36 carries to the Jaguars. The Texans also had five defensive sacks in Week 3, a good trend for them to carry over into Week 4."

The question is whether Houston can stop anyone. While their defense might look pretty good on paper (yielding the 13th-fewest points per game), their three opponents have been a mess offensively. The Colts, Broncos, and Bears are hardly a good test of the Texans’ defensive prowess. Even at less than 100%, the Chargers should prove to be their toughest test."
