ASC International Studies, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a semester Senior Lecturer to join our team. The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for teaching INTSTDS/POLITICAL SCIENCE 4242: Incomplete Democracies: The (Un) Rule of Law in Latin America during the 2024 autumn semester
Performance Objectives
Ensure curriculum implementation and course preparation in accordance with school standards.
Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning.
Prepare homework and exams; evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
Meet scheduled classes and office hours in accordance with university policy.
Maintain accurate records of student progress; submit final grade rosters in accordance with established university deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality of student information in accordance with FERPA
Education And Experience RequirementsRequired: Master's degree in International Studies or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Firm understanding of international studies; successful candidate must be proficient in the field of international studies
Desired: Demonstrated skill as an instructor, especially in undergraduate courses. Experience teaching international studies. The ability to incorporate media technologies into the instructional experience.
